In summer, windows allow too much heat to enter, forcing cooling systems to work harder and making cooling costs climb. But in winter, windows allow too much heat to escape, forcing heating systems to work harder and making heating costs climb.

Historically, most window films have provided only a summer solution - a solution for only part of the year. EnerLogic is different.

The energy savings characteristics of a particular window film are defined by the terms of “emissivity” and “solar heat gain coefficient” The lower the emissivity of a window, the better the insulating value of the window. This reduces heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. Solar heat gain coefficient is fraction of energy that strikes a window that is allowed entrance through that glazing system.
